I have heard so many dog owners say I use only positive reinforcement to train. I always ask for them to give me examples of their positive reinforcement training methods and many of them respond with negative reinforcement and positive punishment examples.
It’s important that we have the correct understanding of positive and negative. Positive means adding something and negative means subtracting something. So instead of positive and negative meaning good and bad, they mean addition and subtraction.
